  8. With the name 'Avenger' the group already released the album "Prayers of Steel"
  9. and mini-LP "Depraved to Black". But there's in England already another band
  10. calling themselves Avenger, so they change their name and also their record
  11. label. Avenger becomes Rage, and Wishbone Records becomes Noise Records. In
  12. 1986 the first Rage-album "Reign of Fear" is released, getting some negative
  13. reactions, because there's a Lybian terrorist printed on the cover. In oktober
  14. of '86 leader Peavy throws out guitarplayer Stefan Gruning and replaces him by
  15. Jochen Schroder. A tour follows with Kreator and Destruction, after which the
  16. other guitarplayer Guinness is replaced by Rudy Graf (ex-Warlock). In 1987 the
  17. album "Execution Guaranteed" is recorded. The band does some concerts with Holy
  18. Moses, but an American tour is cancelled and nothing happens with the band.
  19. Therefore Peavy throws out the whole band and with two new guys, Manni Schmidt
  20. and Chris Efthimiadis, Rage is a trio again. This trio records in '88 the best
  21. Rage-album so far: "Perfect Man". To promote it, Rage tours with Sabbat and
  22. Risk through Europe.
